Greensboro Beard and Mustache Competition

The Beards For Balls fundraiser for testicular cancer awareness will be held on November 19t from 3pm until 8pm at Gibbs Hundred Brewing Company. Registration is twenty-five dollars and prizes will be awarded for the best facial hair.

Amahl and the Night Visitors

The College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Opera Theatre department will present Amahl and the Night Visitors at the UNCG Auditorium. Performances will be on November 18t and 19 at 7:30 p.m. and November 20 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16 for general admission, $14 for seniors, and $8 for students.

Fall Dances

The College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Dance department will present their Fall Dances on November 18 and 19 at 8 p.m., with an additional matinee on the 19 at 2 p.m. Performances will be in UNCG’s Dance Theatre.

Lyn Harrell with the UNCG USO

Renowned cellist Lynn Harrell will perform with the UNCG Symphony on December 2nd at 7:30pm in the UNCG Auditorium. On December 3rd he will perform a solo recital at UNCG’s Recital Hall at 8pm.

Wind Ensemble Concert

The College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Music department will present the Wind Ensemble’s end of semester concert on December 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the UNCG Auditorium. Admission is free.

BFA Exhibit

The December BFA graduates of the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ School of Art will present their final showcase from December 9 to December 12 in the Gatewood Gallery of the Gatewood Studio Arts Building.

CTG’s Wizard of Oz

The Community Theatre of Greensboro will present their Twenty-Second annual performance of the Wizard of Oz at the Carolina Theatre of Greensboro. Performances will be on November 11-19 at 7 p.m. and November 12-20 at 2 p.m. Tickets will range from $10 to $44, and performances are expected to last around two-and-a-half hours.

David Crosby at the Carolina Theatre

David Crosby, legendary member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, and Nash, will perform at the Carolina Theatre of Greensboro on December 2nd at 8pm. Tickets range from $25 to $585.

Holy Ghost Tent Revival at Blind Tiger

On December 2, Asheville’s Holy Ghost Tent Revival will return to the Blind Tiger. Doors are open at 8 p.m. and the show begins at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door,  there will also be a five dollar surcharge if you are under twenty-one.
