February 1st, 2022 was officially the beginning of the Lunar New Year, also known as the year of the Tiger. Some may ask what is the Lunar New Year? It originated from many Asian cultures, which instead of following a Solar calendar, follow a Lunar calendar. The Lunar New Year’s Eve falls on the 31st of January and begins February 1st, 2022. The Tiger is known as a courageous and outgoing symbol, strong yet resilient.
2022 is calling for individuals all around the world to remain strong and brave, especially through these changes going on throughout the world. The Tiger is known as a good omen, for change and good fortunes as long as you remain hopeful and stand tall in the face of adversity. There are many struggles still being faced, but the Year of the Tiger is here to remind us all that even in times of struggle, there will always be a way out and light at the end of that tunnel. During this Lunar Year we will all be experiencing big changes. Society and the world as we know it will undergo changes that will advance us into the future, so it is important to remain calm yet vigilant. We must stay resilient to these changes because being put into uncomfortable circumstances will occur, but it all depends on how we all decide to move forward as a collective. During this time, technology advances are very common, as well as technology crashes. Health will also be a big theme so make sure you are checking in with your mental/ physical health! These check-ins are important because this will be a fast-paced year, just like the Tiger—fast-paced and a bit unpredictable. But, with a heads up, everything will be okay.
The Tiger is also very family oriented which means this will be a big year regarding family! Welcome new family members or additions to the family; increase closeness within platonic and romantic relationships; and get to know those people who become a part of your family!
Now you may begin to read this and think…doesn’t this happen every year…well yes. But in the ethers, this all signifies something greater. The year of the Tiger is a lucky one, full of mysteries and surprises. It will bring a refreshing new energy to the year of 2022. Good Luck to all!
